    Q.1 Who are the people behind Paramanand University?

    Ans. Many, over the years, have enthusiastically promoted the concept and the work of PU. The initial inspiration for establishing the university was from a great saint, Mahamandleshwar Yugpurush Swami Paramanand Giri ji Maharaj who saw a need for such an institution. There are highly experienced professionals. And management wizards are volunteering their valuable services to the university.

    Q. 2 Where is the campus of Paramanand University situated?

    Ans. City Campus, Maa Anandmayi Vidya Peeth, A. B. Road, Indore. With the following facilities: (1) Event hall (9000 sq. ft.). (2) Rooms and small halls (64). (3) At main campus Khandwa Road halls and roos (24). (4) Hospital and clinic (1000 sq. ft.). (5) Other facilites (10000 sq. ft.) are under construction, which will accomodate administration, classroom, library, computer rooms etc..



    Q.3 What is the source of funding for Paramanand University?

    Ans. As it is a non-profit and non-commercial institution, its main source of funds has been donations, with small revenue coming from the tuition fees charged to students.

    Q. 4 What type of employment I might be able to find after completing a program at HU?

    Ans. The mission of HU is to provide an education that allows one to grow personally in spiritual dimension, and be a happier person in whatever one is doing. In this respect HU courses supplement the education in traditional educational system. Our Yoga Education program trains yoga teachers with a deeper understanding of the philosophy that is embedded in authentic yoga. Yoga Philosophy and Meditation program can help us in sharing the benefits of meditation with others. Vedic Astrology program helps one to be an astrologer.

    Q. 5 What sort of weather will I encounter during my stay?

    Ans: In this part of India the weather can be described as follows:

    Dec–Jan(Winter):

    The days average 20-25 degrees but can drop upto 5-10 degrees at night.

    Feb–Mar (Spring):

    Daytime temperatures rise steadily from 18°–30° by the end of March; nights from 10–18°.

    April–June(Summer):

    Daytime 30°–40° on average, although it can get hotter; nights are also extremely hot, around 30° on average. Period of dust storms.

    July–Sep(Monsoon):

    Monsoon (rainy season); daytime 20–35°C with slight humidity; nights around 18–30°C.

    Oct–Nov(Autumn):

    Dry weather; day temperatures may reach 30° or more but drop during November to around 25° on average; nights grow steadily cooler also.

    Note:

    Temperatures can fluctuate quite dramatically at any time of year. There is no air conditioning or heating in the rooms, only electric ceiling fans.

    Q.6 Who Should Apply?

    Ans.

    • Healthy individuals (physically + mentally) with No experience of yoga minimum age 16 years and maximum age 60 years (For students over age 60, fitness certificate is necessary).
    • Yoga practitioners who have been doing yoga and want to become teachers.
    • Yoga aspirants who want to learn INDIAN TRADITIONAL YOGA & techniques of teach the same. If you are expecting modified versions of physical exercises in the name of Yoga, then this is not the school for you.

    Q. 7 What do I need to bring?

    • Clothing - Loose & comfortable clothes for summer & warm for winter.
    • Photos - 3 Passport size Photos & photocopy of Passport with Indian Visa.
    • Valuables - You can bring valuables on YOUR OWN RISK, we are not responsible for any loss or damages.
    • Miscellaneous - Your own medicines & personal toiletries

    Q. 8 How do I get to the University once I’ve arrived in India?

    A: There are regular train services from the major cities to the Indore (M.P).

    Q. 9 How do I pay for the course ?

    A: Course payment is made at the time of admission. Ensure that you bring sufficient funds with you to cover the cost of the course. You can pay through three modes: - By Cash, By Credit Card, and By Check issued in favor of Paramanand University.

    Q.10 What happens if I get sick during my stay?

    A: University is running its own charitable hospital within campus so there is no problem of medical facilities Ensure that your travel insurance policy will provide full medical coverage during the period of your stay in India.

    Q. 11 Can I receive mail/parcels?

    A: Yes, there are international services of courier available in Indore besides this government post facility is also available.
